Who We Are

We're a member of EASTBAY Works, one of the many One-Stop Career Centers located throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties. EASTBAY Works is a regional partnership designed to coordinate employment activities in the two counties, funded by the Department of Labor and the State of California.

The Tri-Valley One-Stop Career Center, located in Pleasanton, is a community partnership, including local cities, chambers of commerce, community colleges, employers and other community based organizations.

We offer universal resources available to the general public for the purpose of seeking jobs, training, or education. In addition, we offer resources specifically for job seekers and more focused support for special populations in the community. We also offer business resources and services specifically for employers. There is no charge for any of our services.

Our History

Since July 1, 1998, the Pleasanton Center staff has provided services to approximately 4,000 local residents in over 16,000 instances. There have been many collaborative efforts with our local partners to provide needed services to connect people with opportunities for employment.

For example, collaborative efforts with Las Positas College have included:

  • Providing Job Search Workshops on campus to Las Positas students
  • Participating in the Las Positas Career Fair and Open House
  • Advertising in the Las Positas Express
  • Providing a referral source for Las Positas Counselors
  • Tri-Valley Connections: Internship Program

We have partnered with a number of local businesses to offer employment and recruitment services:

  • Collaborated on two major career fairs with the Safeway Corporation (Retail), which led to over 800 applicant pre-screens and 323 hires
  • Pre-screened over 80 applicants through a partnership with Kaiser Permanente through a coordinated career fair
  • Coordinated onsite recruitment event for Southwest Airlines involving pre-screening of 50+ applicants
  • Provided outplacement services for approximately 250 dislocated employees from AT&T, Cingular Wireless, and Blaze Networks.
  • Coordinate a series of on-site recruitment events with Comcast, Aerotek, Landmark Security, drawing over 280 participants. Will continue to host more of these events.
  • Collaborate with a partner One-Stop to host a succession of recruitments for Auction Drop, with 100 job openings
